Fall 95 AIDS Walk Photo Shoot, PURE SEX & WeHo Halloween
During the Fall season of 1995 I was truly happy. Johnny Rey and I had been living together for a few months and our relationship was growing into something I had never experienced before. I really thought we'd be together for the long haul. Through our good friend Latoya Latex, we were called upon to participate in the photo shoot for the 1995 AIDS Walk in LA. Latoya was working closely with the Gay & Lesbian Center that year and it was up to us to assemble some 'talent' for the posters that would go up throughout the city in support of the Walk. We got an outstanding group together: Casey Jordan, York Powers, Hank Hightower, Sharon Kane, and a couple of the most popular bartenders in town from Mickey's.
Johnny Rey had just begun directing porn for Bacchus Releasing and his first venture: PURE SEX had it's release party at Mickey's nightclub in WeHo. Our roommate Gianfranco & I danced as the hot stars of the movie signed autographs. Others in attendance were porn directress Chi Chi La Rue (out of drag) with some other porn couples: Tom Katt with Jordan Young and Dallas Taylor with Eduardo.
Halloween that year was a lot of fun. All the bartenders at Mickey's decided to go in drag, and since Johnny Rey did hair & make-up, they called on him to 'Glamorize' the evening! Our good friend Chip Daniels decided to go as 'C.H.I.P Daniels' that year.
